Polymer modified, fibre reinforced levelling compound screed suitable for levelling uneven floors before the laying of floor tiles, vinyl tiles and other sheet coverings after 2-3 hours.
It is imperative that all floors to be levelled must have a functioning Damp Proof Membrane. FIBREFLEX 50 can be pump applied for application to large areas. Do not use in areas subject to permanent water immersion.
Sand/Cement and Concrete: Must be fully cured and dry prior to levelling. Prime with a 3:1 dilution of Granfix Acrylic Bonding and Priming Agent.
Existing Glazed Tiles, Unglazed Tiles, Quarry Tiles and Terrazzo: Ensure tiles are firmly fixed and all surface treatments and contamination is removed. Prime surface with a mixture of
Asphalt, Bitumen Residues and Floors Subject to Oil/Wax/Solvent Contamination: Floor must be cleaned and cleared of loose matter.Treat floor with Granfix Epoxy Primer and allow to dry before application of FIBREFLEX 50.
Timber Floors: Background must be clean and free from any loose matter and the surface must be sound, dry and flat. Boards should be firmly fixed to supporting joists at 150mm centres and be free from any excessive or sudden movement. Apply 1 coat neat of Granfix Acrylic Bonding and Priming
Agent and allow to dry. NB.Timber floor must be strong and secure enough to support the weight of the leveller and final floor covering.
Power Floated Concrete: Ensure surface is clean and free
from loose matter. Remove any surface laitance. Prime with
a 3:1 dilution of Granfix Acrylic Bonding and Priming Agent.
On very shiny surfaces, acid etching may be required.
Anhydrite Floor Screeds: Ensure surface is clean and free
from loose matter.The screed should not contain more than 0.5% moisture before levelling commences Seal the surface with 2 neat coats of Granfix Acrylic Bonding and Priming Agent.
